Peter has a wide knowledge base having undertaken study in areas such as; law, arts, business/commerce, politics, industrial and employee relations and legal practice. Peter established Hartleys Lawyers in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs after a stint of advocacy in Regional Victoria. Peter participates in most files in a supervisory capacity, ensuring that you receive the highest quality of representation and that best practice standards are adhered to. In addition to this, Peter is active in all aspects of recruitment and training of the solicitors at Hartleys Lawyers.

Following being admitted to practice in 2007 Nicci has completed a range of different roles in the legal sector from working as a graduate lawyer in the Department of Finance and Administration to her role as a Judge's Associate in the County Court of Victoria. Nicci has also practiced as a Victorian Legal Aid Duty Lawyer at Frankston, Melbourne, Dandenong and Moorabbin Courts. Nicci is the Managing Lawyer of our Fitzroy office and head of Marketing for Hartleys Lawyers. Nicci practices predominantly in Family Law Property and Children’s disputes and is appointed as an Independent Children's Lawyer. Nicci is also experienced in criminal matters and appears regularly at the Magistrates and Federal Circuit Courts and on complex property matters in the Supreme Court. Nicci is available for interviews from our Fitzroy , Sunshine, Box Hill, Kew, Hawthorn and Mt Waverley offices.

Nicole came to Hartleys in 2011 after completing a Bachelor of Laws in conjunction with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Politics. Nicole is strongly engaged in the area of Family Law and practices in all areas comprising family law. Her practice includes; all Children’s issues, property matters, spousal maintenance, divorce, conveyancing, wills and estates and VOCAT matters. Nicole has conducted complex matters including international child abduction and de facto property jurisdictional matters. Nicole available for interviews from our Fitzroy and Sunshine Offices.

Sonia has been practising at Hartleys Lawyers since 2005 and with over 10 years of experience was the first of the Hartleys team to be accepted onto Victoria Legal Aid’s Independent Children’s Lawyers panel. Sonia is a highly experienced advocate, appearing frequently in the Family Court of Australia, Federal Circuit Court and Magistrates Courts. As one of our most experienced advocates, Sonia is frequently briefed as in house counsel on complex family law matters. Sonia is based at our Sunshine office and practices primarily in Family Law – Children’s matters. Her practice also includes Criminal Law, Intervention Orders, property matters, spousal maintenance and divorce.
Alexandra joined the Hartleys team in early 2016 and brings enthusiasm and passion in practicing law. Alexandra graduated in 2009 from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Criminology and Socio –Legal studies and a Diploma in Music (Practical) majoring in Saxophone. Alexandra went on to complete the Juris Doctor Program with Honours at Monash University. Alexandra completed her one year traineeship at Slater and Gordon before moving on to a small suburban law firm working in general practice. Alexandra gained a wealth of knowledge over the 3 years she was at the general practice firm finding her niche in family law before making her move to Hartleys. In addition to her work and studies Alexandra volunteered at the Western Suburbs Legal Service and Port Phillip Prison visitor assistance program. Alexandra’s practice now focuses primarily on Family Law matters, although Alexandra still enjoys assisting clients with other legal related matters. Alexandra can speak German fluently. Alexandra is available for appointments at our Sunshine and Moonee Ponds offices.

Jack joined the team at Hartleys Lawyers in 2017 and has practised exclusively in family law since being admitted to practice in 2015. Jack graduated from the University of Queensland in 2014 with a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts. Jack has been working in family law since 2012 and also has experience in estate and conveyancing matters. Jack’s practice comprises all aspects of family law with a particular focus on de facto and property settlement matters. Jack is available for interviews from our Fitzroy, Box Hill, Mt Waverley and Sunshine Offices.

Stephen joined the Hartleys team in 2016, after being admitted to practice in 2015. Stephen completed a double degree Bachelor of Laws (with Honours) and Bachelor of Arts from Victoria University in 2014. Shortly after, Stephen completed his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through the Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Stephen has a passion for social justice and as such has enjoyed various volunteer roles in the community, having volunteered his time at Community Legal Centres in Melbourne as well as interstate. Stephen spent a month working full time with Aboriginal Legal Aid in the Northern Territory. Stephen’s practice focuses predominantly on Family Law.

Sussan joined the team at Hartleys Lawyers in December 2016. Prior to this, she completed a double degree of Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Laws at Deakin University. Sussan was admitted to practice in June 2016 after completing her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at The College of Law. Prior to commencing with Hartleys Lawyers, Sussan practiced as a Solicitor at a suburban law firm working in general practice. Sussan also worked at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court as a Registry Court Officer and has previously volunteered at Brimbank Melton Community Legal Centre and the Victorian Family Law Pathways Network. Sussan’s practice focuses primarily on Family Law and she undertakes both privately funded and Legal Aid work.

Before completing his Bachelor of Law at La Trobe University in 2015, Mario also completed a Bachelor of Legal Studies also at La Trobe University in 2012. He then went on to complete his Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Mario has a passion for social justice and currently volunteers his time at the Darebin Community Legal Centre.”

Eve joined the team at Hartleys Lawyers in 2018. Eve was admitted to practice in 2016 and is a Graduate of the University of Queensland holding a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws. She completed her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law. Eve has always practiced in Family Law, including Children's and Property matters. Eve also has experience in dealing with Police Prosecution and Intervention Order matters. You will regularly see Eve appearing in the Federal Circuit Court and in the Magistrates Court. Eve is available for interviews from our Fitzroy, Box Hill, Mt Waverley and Sunshine Offices.

Tanya joined our team at Hartleys Lawyers in 2017 after being admitted to practice the same year.Tanya has completed a double degree Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts majoring in Sociology and Politics from Victoria University. Tanya believes strongly in access to justice and equality and has enjoyed the privilege of volunteering for Barwon Community Legal Service prior to commencing with Hartleys Lawyers.

Grezah joined Hartleys Lawyers in 2017. She holds a Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science from University of Santo Tomas and completed her internship at the Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office (PCDSPO) overseas. Grezah went on to complete the Juris Doctor (JD) program at RMIT University in December 2015. Whilst finishing her JD degree, she volunteered at the Mental Health Legal Centre and assisted in the Inside Access program at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre. She also did an internship at the Court of Appeal of Victoria. Grezah was admitted to practice in October 2016 after completing her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through Leo Cussen Centre for Law. Grezah had professional training at the Victorian Legal and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) shadowing the Deputy President of the Civil Division.

Nicholas joined Hartleys Lawyers after being admitted to practice in November 2017. He completed a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at Deakin University in 2016 and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice at the College of Law in 2017. Nicholas believes strongly in ensuring that all people can obtain access to legal assistance to assist them with their legal problems. Prior to joining the team at Hartleys Lawyers Nicholas volunteered at the West Heidelberg Community Legal Service where he worked in the areas of criminal law, family law. fines, and tenancy disputes.
Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal (VOCAT) Clerk PhC.AUA
Heather started with Hartleys with 2003 as a receptionist and personal assistant. Heather later progressed into her role as VOCAT Clerk which has enabled her to incorporate more client liaison and as such she enjoys her role immensely. Heather has a wealth of knowledge of the VOCAT System which she uses to assist the solicitors in the administration of VOCAT matters.

Mary has been working with Hartleys Lawyers since 2003. Starting as a receptionist, she has enjoyed a variety of roles within Hartleys. Mary currently assists five solicitors with their daily tasks and manages the bookkeeping roles.
Nancy commenced working with Hartleys Lawyers as a Part Time Receptionist in 2013. Nancy assists solicitors and administrative staff with support and client liaison.

“Stacey started working at Hartleys in 2016 as a Part Time Receptionist. Since commencing at Hartleys, Stacey has taken up a variety of opportunities around our office to expand her knowledge base including working with our Personal Assistants and Solicitors. Stacey has completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in International and Political Studies and Criminology. Stacey is currently completing her studies in Law at the University of Melbourne and hopes to practice in Family Law or Crime in the future.
